GCSE and A level assessments are for students choosing the options to ski or snowboard as part of their assessed course work for GCSE or A level Physical Education.
Snozone have full accreditation and expertise to assess their capability. Students no longer need to go abroad at great expense to attain their assessments as we can provide this to superior standards here at our venues in Milton Keynes and Yorkshire.
Snozone provides in-depth feedback, written notes befitting the exam body’s criteria and a video of the student’s progress. We will provide an experienced BASI (or equivalent) Coach to deliver the activity and assessment. The Coach will have experience delivering these assessments for AQA, OCR and Edxcel exam bodies. The student will meet the Coach who will explain exactly what to expect from the activity alongside the venue’s specific Health and Safety Policy.
The activity is in two parts:

1) The first is a coaching session to improve the level of performance for the assessment. The student will be encouraged to assess their own ability and then make suggestions on how they can improve. The Coach will of course enhance these self-assessments and provide full coaching.
2) The second is a filmed assessment where the student is filmed carrying out ski or snowboard skills and feedback is given by the Coach.
For both skiing or snowboarding, the expert Coach will assess the student's technique over a variety of skills on varying terrain including snow plough, plough to parallel skiing, slip sliding, linking turns, edging and eventually carving.
Snozone provide all the necessary equipment including skis, snowboards, boots and helmets. Students will need to bring waterproof clothing, warm clothes, thick socks and gloves. These can also all be purchased at Snozone.
We request that students email in advance any coursework notes and assessment criteria provided by the exam governing body. Total time for the activity is 2 hours and we deliver these activities in a private setting for up to 4 students. Larger groups can be accommodated upon request.
The student will be assessed and content will also be recorded on video. Our expert Coaches are trained to help each student achieve their potential and they will be encouraged to perform to their optimum.
£159.99 for a 1:1 session. Additional students cost £49.99 per person (up to a maximum of 4 students).
