Recently Snozone Milton Keynes were delighted to welcome the Step Now team along with the youth ‘mentees’ to our venue, travelling up from London.
The visit began with a presentation of how Snozone operates as a business, explaining the different component parts ranging from operations to sales and marketing; finance to food and beverage management; underlining the career opportunities in these disciplines throughout the leisure and hospitality sector and what they look like as a career opportunity. A talk about how we operate as a responsible business and our ESG policies followed.
The Step Now team were really engaged and enjoyed a really positive interactive session with some great questions and incisive observations based on the presentation.
‘We’re truly humbled and grateful for the way the Directors of Snozone looked after us, inspired us and expanded our minds to a new fun and engaging sport!
You allowed not only the young people, but even us as the older generation, to experience something most people from our culture don’t get the opportunity to!
I hope this is the start of an amazing and impactful partnership/collaboration!’
Princess, Step Now Leadership Team
‘Thank you, my day at Snozone was amazing! It really gave me an insight into what it takes to run a large-scale business. I got to learn about marketing, finance, as well as the history of the business. I had a fun day of learning as well as having the opportunity to try out the slopes. I really like how Snozone tries to encourage and involve people into snow sports, and I hope to visit again soon’.
Daniel, Mentee
We then moved down to the slope for a bit of fun, where the team were excited to be introduced to their coaches and got stuck into their ski lesson – great progress was attained by everyone in just one lesson! With promises of returning with friends and family, we look forward to welcoming them back.
It was very rewarding to host Step Now and we now intend to build on the relationship we have started and establish a work experience programme that could develop further.
Snozone consistently demonstrate their commitment to our ‘Sport for All’ ethos – ensuring that we provide a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all guests to our venues and team members who work with us; regardless of any perceived limitations due to disability, age, gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background.
