12th March 2022
The Paralympic GB team stormed the beginning of this year’s Winter Paralympics achieving 5 medals within the first 3 days of competing, with a 6th medal – Britain’s first para snowboard medal - achieved on 11th March. and are currently 11th in the medal table at the time of writing, with Menna Fitzpatrick becoming Great Britain’s most successful Winter Paralympian of all time.
At Snozone we believe that Snowsports should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability and we work with anyone who has a sensory, cognitive, physical impairment or additional needs; enabling guests to access our slopes either with assistance or to use our equipment independently.
Many of our ski and snowboard coaches are now qualified in adaptive tuition with Snozone being the only UK indoor real snow slope business who operates their own Disability Snowsports team. Stephen Jordan, our Snowsports Manager at Snozone Milton Keynes was recently awarded Disability Coach of the year for 2021 by UK snow sports.
Whilst many of our guests simply take to the slopes for pure enjoyment, we are privileged to have coached and facilitated the tuition of several national team athletes.
